Motorized Capacitor Solution

Short Lead-Time

Motorized Capacitor Solution

Accurate alignment of motor, coupler and capacitor for high precision operation
Assembled solution for easy installation
Complete with mounting flanges and optional memory chip

COMET's knowledge in building high precision components and subsystems make the Integrated Drives to high quality products. Further are shorter lead-times the result of the standardized subsystem - the basis of the Integrated Drive Solutions - and therefore an additional benefit. Summarized, the Integrated Drives are the ideal - standardized - solutions for any Match-Box manufacturer.

Customer Benefits

Accuracy is one of the strongest demands in matching network design. Beside that, the assembly of Vacuum Capacitor, Motor and Coupling is tedious and error-prone. COMET's solution provides:

precise alignment of motor coupler and vacuum capacitor
a single-supplier-solution compared with an assembly of parts from multiple suppliers
optional memory chip with measured capacitance curve and module series number

Integrated Drive Solutions

The core component of any Integrated Drive Solution is a variable Vacuum Capacitor.Tthis is complemented by motor coupler and tube to drive the capacitor. Bulkhead-Flange and Variable-End-Flange make sure that the Integrated Drive is mechanically easy to mount in a match-box. Care is also taken of appropriate high voltage insulation between the capacitor and the mounting flanges as well as a long life, backlash-free coupling of the drive system to the capacitor. These features make the Integrated Drives to versatile easy-to-complement and easy-to-install modules. On top of this a memory chip is optional available, that keeps the characteristics of the module, such as capacitor type, serial number and measured capacitance curve.
